Focus and Scope

The Journal of Systems Engineering and Information Technology (JOSEIT), facilitated by the Indonesian Association of Informaticians (IAII), is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in Computer Engineering and Information Technology.

JOSEIT aims to advance knowledge and innovation by focusing on cutting-edge research that aligns with the SCOPUS All Science Journal Classification (ASJC) system and contributes to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Research Focus

JOSEIT welcomes original research articles and reviews following ASJC-defined areas of Computer Science:

  • Artificial Intelligence (ASJC 1702): Research on machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and AI-driven solutions for real-world challenges.
  • Computer Networks and Communications (ASJC 1705): Studies on network architectures, IoT, cybersecurity, and communication protocols for scalable and secure systems.
  • Computer Science Applications (ASJC 1706): Applications of computational techniques in domains such as health informatics, educational technology, urban analytics, and environmental modeling.
  • Information Systems (ASJC 1710): Investigations into data management, decision support systems, data analytics, and information system architectures.
  • Software (ASJC 1712): Development and evaluation of software engineering methodologies, tools, and frameworks for robust and efficient systems.

Alignment with Sustainable Development Goals

The journal prioritizes contributions that align with the following SDGs:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being: Research leveraging health informatics, telemedicine, AI-driven diagnostics, and data analytics to improve healthcare outcomes and promote well-being.
  • SDG 4: Quality Education: Studies on e-learning platforms, educational technologies, and AI-driven personalized learning to enhance access to quality education.
  • SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Investigations into smart manufacturing, IoT, cybersecurity, and data-driven industrial solutions to foster sustainable industrialization and innovation.
  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities: Research on smart city technologies, urban data analytics, and traffic management systems to support sustainable urban development.
  • SDG 13: Climate Action: Studies utilizing AI, data analytics, and energy-efficient computing for climate modeling, environmental monitoring, and sustainable resource management.

The journal encourages submissions that:

  • Develop novel algorithms, models, or systems with clear applications to the specified ASJC areas and SDGs.
  • Address interdisciplinary challenges through data science, data analysis, and data engineering, with a focus on scalability and real-world impact.
  • Provide empirical evaluations, case studies, or simulations that demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed solutions in advancing sustainable development.
  • Foster global collaboration by presenting research that is accessible and relevant to an international audience.
